Chic clean nails

Been looking for a nail polish that would give me that "my nails but better" shade and found a perfect one  for my nails!

I got the formula X sheer strength in wondrous from Sephora recently.

I applied it for the first time and its not streaky at all, you can go up to 3-4 coats and still looks amazing and opaque.

I have 2 coats on and it perfectly covers the yellowness of my nails.

Like it a lot!

Current Beauty Faves!

Milani Matte lipstick in Innocense- a clour  that doesnt wash me out and great for everyday nude colour. Its not drying to the lips at all and it smells good!

Sephora Lustre Matte Lipstick in Fig lustre- I love this! This is forever in my makeup bag. "My lips but better colour" Nuddish, Mauve colour. I wear this almost every day for the past 3 weeks 😁.

Carli bybel palette- despite the awesome deal, $12.50 for 10 eyeshadows and 4 highlighters, perfect for Fall! Love the golds and burgundys.

Juicy coutour viva lajuicy- my signature scent along with miss dior. My scent for the past month... Everyday. Excessive!

Benefit highbrow- I dont know what took me so long to get this! Highlighted brow brones make such a difference in my makeup routine and turnout.Although a bit harder to blend and have to have a brush to do so, the pinkish nude is the perfect colour.

Nars eyeshadow primer- best primer for such oily eyelids! Been so oily lately and this tops Urban decay primer potion.

Becca highlighter in opal.- gotta give my jaclynhill champagne pop a rest and this stays up there on my best highlighter list. Used this baby pretty much everyday.

MUFE 3c lipliner- this goes with anything, & everything. Such a pretty lip color even on its own.

Origins frothy wash- lately Ive been good with skincare. Or at least trying to make it simple and find products with less chemicals on it. This leaves my skin so soft yet so clean and refreshing! Definitely buying a full size version.

Gold watch from American Eagle and my Aldo/forever 21 rings. I love the good old non chunky looking, simple gold watch and adding little stuff like dainty rings.

Thats it folks! Happy October!

In-Flight Essentials

These are my Airplane/ In flight essentials!
I usually board bare-faced, because if i have makeup on, I turn into a grease ball & I break out after. The air on the plane tends to be very drying so i make sure i moisturize well 30-1 hr before boarding.

On long flights, (3 hours or more) I make sure I bring tooth paste and a tooth brush. nuff said!
and here's the rest of the stuff:

- Either I use Garnier Moisture 10 minute mask (Walmart) or Instant deputing eye mask (Sephora) to relax me a lil bit.
- Shea Infused Lounge socks (B&BW). My feet gets cold easily + I can walk to the washroom with these
- Nivea Lip Butter in Raspberry rose.(Walmart) This gives my lips the right amount of moisture and i really really like the scent! :)
- Ear plugs (drugstore)- coz ya'll will never know. need my peaceful naps
- Eye mask (Sephora point perk) - Im very sensitive to light, so if my seat mate pops up the window, i wake up… :)
- Clarins Moisturizer (sample). Love the scent! This comes up very light and doesn't feel oily.
- Bioderma travel size 100 ml (Shopper's drug mart) - This is a toner/makeup remover/ skin boosting cleansing water goodness. Holy grail must have!. I have a full size bottle that i carry in my gym bag as well. Squirt a little in those cotton pads before landing or before putting makeup on and you're good to go!

Now, depending on where I am going after, usually I get picked up and we go straight to a restaurant or something, I make sure that not only am I fully hydrated but decent enough that I don't look sick. I bring a lil bit of makeup because you never know… I might bump in to a celebrity or something haha!

- NARS blush and bronzer duo (Orgasm & Laguna) (Sephora)- Gotta have that glow and some colour!
- NARS radiant concealer in custard (Sephora)- bye bye puffy and dark bags
- Bite beauty lip pencil (travel size) (Sephora)- the "my lips but better" colour.- so i don't look dead!
- Maybelline Rocket mascara (Walmart)- to open up my eyes & look more awake
- Makeup forever full cover concealer (Sephora) - for spotting. I have my foundation in my checked in luggage so i only put concealer on spotted areas.
- MAC brush (travel size) (MAC Archie collection) for the powders obviously.

* Remember to take great care of your skin and drink lots of water! Travelling can be a big change for your body…last thing you want to happen is getting sick or  dealing with breakouts and scars after. Hope this helps! =)

Safe and happy travels!

Bite High Pigment Lip Pencil

Alo Beauties!
Stumbled across this little cutie while shopping at Sephora last week for $29! I've been wanting to try out the bite beauty lip pencils but i just couldn't decide which colour to get…then i found this! Given the fact that it has nice, festive colours for the up coming fall/winter season, couldn't deny how cute  & adorable the packaging is, this comes in a built-in mirror for on the go (so me) , travel/purse friendly & "ready to give" kind of present.  When i travel, i create different kind of looks and sometimes, having to bring a lot of lipsticks can use a lot of space in my makeup bag, so now, i can just bring this! I would be able to create a variety of lip looks without worrying to much of bringing a lot of separate full sized lipsticks.

- All are wearable colours
- You just gotta be a lil bit careful when applying Pomegranate because it could be a little bit messy if you don't take your time, compared to sable for instance.
- smooth application
- hydrating, not drying
-scent: just a slight hint of vanilla

-Only thing though, since its retractable, i may have to use a lip pencil in the future once it becomes flat & it loses its pointy and sharp end. :s

It comes in 4 colours (set 4 x .05oz.)
Pomegranate (Red)
Rhubarb (taupe brown)
*Sable (peachy nude)
*Winterberry (berry)

 *-new shades

pigmentation: 5/5 (creamy and opaque)
longevity: 3/5 (need to reapply often)
packaging : 5/5 (sleek, chic, easy to find, small enough)
scent: 4/5 (not strong)
colour selection: 4/5 ( i love how its neutral to dramatic) Although, the 2 darkest colours look similar when put on. Its until you look closely or apply the red one darker will you see the difference.

overall, i really like it!

Urban Decay's Electric Palette

SOME CALL IT TOO MUCH MAKEUP, I CALL IT ART =)

I had so much fun playing around with the latest palette from Urban Decay! Ahh the bright colours perfect for spring and summer.
I'm really surprised that even though its Matte, doesn't appear chalky at all…Good job Urban Decay! Although i kind of wish they added a matte black eyeshadow  or at least a 24/7 eyeliner instead of the brush. I can think of doing soooo many looks out of this palette!

I did 2 looks for now :P pretty wearable…or at least for me it is
1) Fun, bright one for day time
2) Sultry for night time

DAY look
Colours used:
Lid: Thrash
Crease: Urban, Savage and Slowburn
Outer V/half: Chaos (my fave!)

Night look
Colours used:
Upper and lower lids: Chaos
crease: a little bit of my bronzer to warm up the look and slowburn (upper crease)

Paris

Having MAJOR PARIS withdrawal.
I just love the city! I've only gone for a week and I had accumulated over 300 pictures.
The culture, landmarks, shopping, fashion trends and lifestyle was beyond amazing. Although it may be a lil bit expensive, it was so worth it!
Every girl should go here :)

Glam Glow Youthmud tinglexfoliate treatment

I've been hearing a lot of good things about Glam Glow Products but i couldn't justify buying masks worth $70 for 1.7oz. But i saw a travel size version/sample pot as i was checking out in Sephora. for $21, i decided to give it a try..which would give me at least 6 uses out of it.

Description: (Acc. to Sephora)

What it is:
A 10-minute professional-quality mud mask for men and women.

What it is formulated to do:
This mud mask leaves skin noticeably radiant and glowing. It works with the body's natural moisturizing collagen to provide gentle resurfacing exfoliation and helps to leave skin smoother, brighter, and softer. While providing tighter skin texture and tighter pores, it provides a more youthful appearance and absorbs impurities without removing natural oils.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Phthalates

Ingredients:

-French Sea Clay: Absorbs impurities and toxic substances, while leaving essential natural oils and minimizing pore size. -Volcanic Pumice Rock: Multi-level surface exfoliation that you control to clear dead skin cells, smoothing out fine lines and softening skin texture.
-Green Tea Leaf Pieces: GLAMGLOW® groundbreaking patent pending TEAOXI™ technology delivers fresh Super-Squalene, EGCG super antioxidants, and Polypenols directly into the mud from the real pieces of tea leaf.

My BEFORE PIC : (UN EDITED/NO FILTER): you can see uneven skin tone/redness, pimples or hyper pigmentation, oiliness, my enlarged pores around my nose and near my cheeks. i washed my face with my daily facial cleanser and pat it dry.

side note on skin type: oily, sensitive, dry patches, uneven skin tone, redness, acne prone.

As you place the stuff in your face, you can instantly feel the tingling sensation! I love how you know when time is up just by looking in the mirror... the color turns tray to a sea foam greenish grey.

the chunks that you see btw are green tea leaf pieces.

You can see my enlarged pores! deep

My after pic: (NO EDIT, NO FILTER) my face is so soft, Glowing and squeaky clean without feeling that it over stripped the oils in my face! My pores were less visible, although  hyper pigmentation was still there, it definitely helped tone down the redness and was less visible.

The same feeling when you just had an amazing teeth cleaning sesh. :) so fresh and clean!

Overall, im super happy with this product. I love how its a face mask that exfoliates. Usually i deal with exfoliants that are cleansers/soaps..this is actually better because the time that it is on your face, it really sinks deep down in your pores and really gets out the dirt and gunk out of your face.

It is seriously one of the best i have tried, truly a luxurious product and treat you can give your skin once in awhile. If only it wasn't too expensive *sigh*

Have you tried? or are you willing to try glamglow products?

Spotlight: Dior Shimmer in Amber Diamond

I've had this powder for about 2 months already and i'm obsessed! i haven't really tried much of Dior besides their lip glosses so i decided to try the Dior Shimmer powder in Amber Diamond. I've heard so much people raving about this and i get why :P

It features 5 different shades (cream, light champagne, bronze, rose gold and peach gold). I love mixing them together and it turns out really nice as a highlighter. Sometimes i do use it as eyeshadows too especially the rose gold one and light champagne for the inner corners of the eyes:)

The formulation is absolutely gorgeous! and the colours are a perfect balance of pigmented and sheer. Compared to MAC's soft and gentle, Dior's powder is a bit more refined, which i like..and i love how its divided into strips, so it gives you the option to use one or the other or swirl it together.

For MAC's soft and gentle, its basically a mix of everything already. It also comes in Dior's classic navy blue compact casing and a little pouch. The Diorskin Shimmer Powders contain 10g/0.35 oz of product and retail for $45. (but i got it for 30$ for a VIB coupon)

Dior products are expensive, but with 10g of this I know it will take me forever to use up :) im very pleased and for sure will be using this up a lot in the summer months. what is your favourite highlighter?

May monthly stars

1) Uniq One
- I really dont do a lot of reviews or have favourites when it comes to hair products but this stuff is amazing!!!!!! I have been using it for about 3 months consistently though and i could see fast, visible results! This was recommended by my hair stylist. i was actually skeptical at first because i have tried hundreds of hair products...but i gave it a shot. AMAZING!! this is what it claims :repair for dry and damaged hair, shine and frizz control, heath protection, silkiness and smoothness, hair color protection, easier brushing  and ironing, incredible detangling, long lasting hairstyle, split ends prevention and adds body)----- i give it a 8/10 :) plus it smells good! a lil spritz is all you need after washing your hair. Would definitely repurchase.

2) Olay fresh effects moisturizer
- With very oily skin, i was looking for a moisturizer that didn't seem heavy or sticky or oily. this stuff is okay. its a satin finish, pretty light , which i wanted especially for a day moisturizer. smells good too! once applied, it actually feels like a balm...it moisturizes your skin and itstantly disappears...satin-y, silky finish. i give it a 7/10. i would repurchase but not for now...would want to try different moisturizers once i'm finished with this.

3) NYX's beige
- Its not exactly "beige" or nude, but its a perfect baby pink, natural-looking gloss. its inexpensive, tastes/smells so good and non-sticky.. (thats my #1 when it comes to lip glosses). i could basically wear it with anything! i love nyx lip glosses in general and this is one of them. Easy to apply, loving the applicator, handy and many more! i give it a 8/10.

4) UD's de slick
- This is a must have for people who have oily skin. Just bought  this last month and its amazing. I could definitely tell a difference on my skin when i use this. it keeps my make up in place throughout the day and when i blot, it doesn't produce much oil as to when i dont use it. definitely a staple in my makeup routine. 9/10.

5) Maybelline Falsies mascara (waterproof)
- My all time fav. mascara! always a favourite. loved the applicator, the formula, the staying power, how it volumizes and separates my lashes. 8/10 for me!

6) Stila waterproof liquid liner
- Another all time fav. love how its a pen, so easy to use, easier , lazier way actually to  create sharp lines aka cat eyes, i love how its so handy and lasts really long! (mine was at least 6-8 months of use everyday) worth every penny!..and its waterproof, doesnt budge/smudge after long hours at work, gym etc. love love! 9/10.

7) Nars duo (oragasm/laguna)
- I ve had this for such a long time but its been just this month i used it consistently..I actually love the LAGUNA bronzer! used it for countouring this month. Although it fades in a couple of hours, i love how its perfect for my skin tone. i can build it up, tone it down etc. 7/10.

8) Dove's dry shampoo
- Finally a dry shampoo that works! Decided to give this a try and amazing! It gives volume, i love how it sprays, smells good (but too strong though), its cheap (6.99$), doesnt leave a white residue. I have used the  tresemme....and its nothing compared to this! close to batiste but this is better... Still looking for that perfect dry shampoo but this still works..especially compared to other brands 8/10.

9) MUFE cover concealer
- I originally thought of buying this for under my eyes.. i thought that having it drier compared to eye concealers, my search for the perfect one is solved...but this works better on your face to cover up hyper pigmentation, pimples. having oily skin, this does the job of covering my pimples/scars at the same time lasts long. its thick, waterproof and a little goes a long way! For the face though, not for under the eyes. (too dry). 8/10.

10) Naked basics and Naked palette original
- May has been one of the hectic months and most of my work days, id rather sleep in and use that extra 20 mins of getting ready than putting my make up on. hence i wake up late and i have 5 mins of makeup time. This palette saved me so much! one sweep, easy to work with and so natural! love it! having me not look oh so tired and the same time polished and decent. For days that i can prep and spend a little more time with fixing myself, Naked palette is the one that i grab. versatile, mix and match goes with anything. always a fav! i give these babies a 9/10!

11) Dior amber lights
- eyeshadow.highlighter.blush. love the versatility of this! worth every penny! amazing colours. just so different and perfect highlighter day-night. You can build it up, tone it down depends on what kind of look youre going for. It difinitely gives you a candlelit effect.  9/10.

12) Maybelline Rocket Mascara
- when i first got this, i didnt like it at ALL. i thought it was too wet, didnt do what it claimed and it was just an imitation of covergirl's lashblast. actually the more i used it, i grew out of it and kinda sorta liked it. i got the non-waterproof one and its pretty good staying up. although im having a hard time with the brush on my lower lashes. this does volumize. it does the job . 7/10

and those are my favourites for the month of MAY. will they cut it for the month June?? We'll see :P
